Getting started

Quickstart

From sign-up to your first published article: add your site, connect Search Console, choose where articles go, and let autopilot plan the month.

1. Add your site

Sign up and enter your domain. Spook reads your site and learns its brand voice, description and language; those shape every draft it writes. You can edit what it learned, and add global writing instructions, later in Site settings.

2. Connect Google Search Console

Recommended. Open Research → Performance and connect Search Console. Spook syncs the last 28 days of query data and uses the queries you already show up for as one of its three opportunity sources, alongside your competitors' best keywords and the questions people ask around your topic.

Details in Google Search Console.

3. Choose where articles go

Under Site settings → Publishing pick an integration: WordPress, Ghost, Webflow, Shopify, a REST API (Payload and other headless CMSs), a Next.js blog, or a webhook for anything else. Then choose whether Spook saves articles as drafts for you to approve, or publishes them live.

Every integration has its own guide under Publishing.

Not sure which to pick?

Webhook is the fastest way to connect a custom stack - Spook POSTs the finished article as JSON to any HTTPS endpoint, and you can send a test payload before anything goes live.

4. Let autopilot plan the month

Each publish day on your calendar gets one keyword, chosen from your rankings, your competitors' best pages and the questions people ask, then scored for how winnable it is. Drafts are written the evening before and go live at 09:00 UTC on their day, straight to your connected blog. Nothing publishes below a 95 SEO score.

You stay in control: drag a card to another day, add instructions to a keyword, swap one out, or pause autopilot. See Calendar & autopilot.

5. Watch it compound

Your dashboard charts clicks and impressions from Search Console, published articles keep getting checked in Google (when one slips, a refresh shows up), your AI visibility is re-read every week, and your Domain Rating is tracked weekly as backlinks from the Spook Network land.
