WordPress

Publish to any self-hosted WordPress site via the REST API and an application password.

What it does

  • Creates or updates posts by slug
  • Draft or publish status
  • Title, HTML content, excerpt, Yoast meta fields

Setup

  1. 1In WordPress: Users → Profile → Application Passwords → create a new password.
  2. 2In Spook site settings: Integration → WordPress.
  3. 3Enter site URL (https://yoursite.com), username, and application password.
  4. 4Pick draft or live mode, save, then publish from an article.

Draft or live

Every site chooses how Spook pushes content: as a draft for you to approve in your CMS, or live immediately (with a sitemap resubmission to Google when Search Console is connected). See Draft vs live.
