Terms of Service

Last updated: July 5, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Spook ("Spook", "we", "us"), available at tryspook.com. Spook is operated from Denmark. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Spook on behalf of an organization, you agree to these Terms on its behalf.

The service

Spook helps you find winnable search queries, generate language-native article drafts, publish content to the destinations you connect, and grow your Domain Rating through a maintained backlink network. Features depend on the integrations you enable (such as Google Search Console and your CMS) and may change over time as we improve the product.

Eligibility & your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use Spook. You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization.

Subscriptions, billing & cancellation

Per-site subscription. Spook is a paid subscription billed per connected site. Each site is a paid slot; there is no free tier. Pricing, including any multi-site volume discounts, is shown at checkout and on our pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel.

Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method the recurring fee for the number of sites on your subscription, plus any applicable taxes or VAT. You are responsible for keeping a valid payment method on file.

Cancellation. You can cancel, or reduce the number of sites on your subscription, at any time from the Billing page via the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable and we do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

Lapsed subscriptions. If your subscription lapses or is not renewed, your sites become read-only - you can still view and export your data, but content generation, publishing, research, and automation are paused until you reactivate.

Price changes. We may change our prices. If we do, we will give you reasonable advance notice, and the new price will apply from your next billing period.

Your content & ownership

You retain all rights to the site data, brand details, and content you provide, and to the articles you publish. You grant Spook the permissions needed to store and process that data solely to operate the features you use - for example, to research keywords, generate drafts, and publish to the destinations you configure.

Drafts and other output Spook generates for you are yours to use. Because this output is produced by AI, it may be inaccurate or incomplete, and similar output may be generated for other users. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and fact-checking any content before you publish it, and for ensuring it complies with applicable law and the terms of the platforms you publish to.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Spook to:

  • Publish unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful content, or content you do not have the right to publish.
  • Violate the terms, policies, or guidelines of any third-party service you connect (including Google and your CMS).
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure.
  • Resell or provide the service to third parties except as we expressly permit.

We may suspend or limit access that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or puts the service, other users, or third parties at risk.

Third-party services

Spook integrates with third-party services you choose to connect - including Google Search Console, AI model providers, search-data providers, Stripe, and your CMS or webhook endpoints. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or actions. How we handle data from these services is described in our Privacy Policy.

No guarantee of results

Search rankings, traffic, and other SEO outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including search engine algorithms and your own decisions. Spook provides tools and recommendations, but we do not guarantee any particular ranking, traffic, indexing, or business result.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spookis provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spook will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including under mandatory consumer-protection rules.

Termination

You may stop using Spook and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or if required to protect the service or comply with the law. On termination, your right to use the service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will remain in effect. You can request deletion of your account and associated data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product and our legal obligations change. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use Spook after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Denmark will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service, except where mandatory law grants you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
